This month’s free potluck dinner will be at the Bowness Community Center on Friday, April 7th, starting at 5:30pm. (The Family Dance begins at 6:30pm and dance admission is just $3 per kid.)

A small amount of funding has been secured again, this time with many thanks to Tamara Baldwin (Community and Neighbourhood Services, The City of Calgary) so there will be some basic foods provided to ensure everyone gets a meal but families are encouraged to bring a food dish with them, if they are able to.  Nobody will be turned away based on whether or not they bring food. Also, please consider applying a small label to your dish to note any common allergens in the ingredients.

Information for anyone with allergies: The provided food will be gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and egg-free, but incredibly tasty.  It will be cooked up fresh for the event by Bowness’s very own ‘Colander Girls’.

More info about this, or any other “It Takes a Village …” initiative, is available by emailing BownessVillage@gmail.com.
