Please see all the information regarding Bowness Vital Signs:

In 2009, the Bowness Community Association supported by United Way of Calgary and Area, the Calgary Foundation, Bowwest Community Resource Center, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary, the City of Calgary and many other local organizations engaged hundreds of Bownesians to discuss their neighbourhood: What they think is great, what’s missing and what actions need to occur. Inspired by Calgary’s Vital Signs, the results of that process was the first neighbourhood focused vital signs report in Canada, titled Voices of Bowness. The report identified 12 key areas:

  • Sense of Community
  • Natural Environment
  • Local Economy
  • Built Environment
  • Health and Wellness
  • Sports and Recreation
  • Safety
  • Diversity
  • Housing
  • Transportation
  • Education and Learning
  • Arts and Culture

Since 2009 many organizations and individuals, whether in response to the Vital Signs report or in response to their own passion, have taken action and contributed to the vitality of Bowness.

Now it is time to do it again and we need your help. With the 2017 Vital Signs: Voices of Bowness survey we hope to engage you, the residents of Bowness, in creating the current picture of Bowness. The report will inform you on involvement in the neighbourhood, identify areas and issues where residents, social agencies and community organizations can work together to further strengthen Bowness and make available relevant and meaningful statistics for everyone in the community.

What we need from you: Click on the link  and give us your input by taking the Vital Signs Survey.

The deadline for submitting survey responses will be September 15, 2017. The information you provide will support future work in Bowness. Thank you for taking the time to support Vital Signs 2017!
