Life is better when it’s shared
Have you ever had to clean the house all by yourself? Or rake all those leaves in the fall? What about that project at work that took you hours and hours until you thought it was never going to get done? All of that would have been a whole lot easier if someone had offered to help. What did Mom use to say, “Many hands make short work?”
Like around the house or work, communities also need many hands to be the places where we all want to live, work and play.
Bowness needs your help.
The Bowness Community Association is a vibrant group of people that are committed to enhancing our community spirit by celebrating the uniqueness, diversity and history of Bowness. We need your help to do this. We have many volunteer opportunities that need your talent, skills and most of all your enthusiasm.
Come share it with us:
There are a gazillion ways for you to take an active role in your community. Most of the opportunities can either be a one-time commitment or an ongoing commitment depending on your schedule. It’s your call. You can use your special talents in any way, shape or form, making your contribution in a truly unique way. Are you looking to develop your special talents? Do you need experience in your future field? Want to try something new in a positive environment? Give us a call. You might surprise yourself with all your hidden talents!

- Plan and implement Youth centred activities
- Recruit Youth Volunteers

Ambassadors:
A community association needs many people to keep programs and events running smoothly. We need people to help with the everyday things like filing and administrative tasks, taking minutes, contacting volunteers and greeting members. Many times all we need is a friendly face to represent us at events or help us stuff media packages. Even if you only have a couple of hours now and then you could make a very real difference in your community and how your community association works. If you like to talk to people, keep things running in top notch condition or need an opportunity to grow your skills in a specific area, we need your help.
