The staff of the Bowness Community Association are passionate about the Community and creating spaces and places that are welcoming, inclusive and safe.
Michelle Dice Executive Director
Michelle has been with the BCA since 2007 and has lead the organization as Executive Director since 2010. She is passionate about community and social entrepreneurship and has a BA in Business Management. Outside of Bowness you will find Michelle hiking or snowboarding and enjoying the mountains to the west.
Molly MacRae Office Manager
Molly has been with the BCA since 2017, she is a born and raised Calgarian and loves the sense of community she has found in Bowness. She enjoys yoga, biking, walking her dog at Bowness park and going to Leopold’s!
Deb Hall Accountant
Deb Hall has been with the Bowness Community Association since Feb 2013 and has worked for a number of community and not for profit organizations in the City of Calgary. Deb is an accomplished athlete participating in Biathlon both Nationally and Internationally. When she is not training you will find her out and about with her dogs.
Sydney Empson Planning and Development Coordinator
Sydney has been working in the community of Bowness since 2006 and at the BCA since 2014 where she worked on the early vision of a Community Hub. Sydney loves the community of Bowness and continues to be amazed at the passion and commitment that the residents have for Bowness. She enjoy hiking, biking and skiing and wishes that the west coast was a 4 hour drive away.
Jessica Clark Communications Coordinator
Jessica joined the BCA in the fall of 2018. She is a born and raised Bownesian, writer, social media nerd, photography hobbyist, fastpitch player and mountain biking enthusiast. She loves all things storytelling and arts related and hopes to one day launch a community association Artist in Residence program, or communications consulting with a focus on non-profit organizations.
Laddie Miller Events and Volunteer Coordinator
Laddie started work as BCA’s Volunteer and Events Coordinator in 2018, before that she graduated from Drury University in Missouri with a degree in Politics and Government. Laddie is passionate about making the volunteer experience meaningful and fun! When not preparing for events, Laddie is probably learning a new recipe or watching old episodes of Unsolved Mysteries.
Lee-Ann Baines Community Hub Coordinator
Lee-Ann started her work with the BCA in 2018 after having worked as a coordinator for inter-generational programming. She is a graduate of University of Calgary with a double major in Sociology and International Indigenous Studies. Lee-Ann is passionate about connecting people and volunteering to build a strong and vibrant community. When she is not working you can find her exploring her creative side or volunteering for various organizations.
Jocelyn Zoller Bowest’ner Designer
Jocelyn works behind the scenes to ensure the Bowest’ner Newsletter looks beautiful. She has been the Bowest'ner Designer since August 2017. She is a wife, a mom to two boys, a student, a volunteer, and an artist. She love sloths, puppets, camping in her boler trailer, hanging out with her family, and artichokes.
Kale Daniels Facility manager
Kale has been with the BCA since February 2017. He is the Arena and Facility Manager and helps take care of the facility and arena.
Kale has played hockey and been in an arena all his life, so driving an Olympia and maintaining an ice arena is something he really enjoys. The joy of making a pristine sheet of ice and watching adults and kids alike enjoy it brings a smile to his face. Outside of work, Kale can be found snowboarding, walking his dog Timber, playing hockey, spending time with his beautiful fiance or cheering for his beloved Green Bay Packers.
Josh Krohn Facility Caretaker
Joshua Krohn has been the Hall Caretaker with the BCA since January 2017. He simply loves the small town feeling that Bowness has. When not at work you can find him with his beautiful wife Arlee and their four young sons.
Colton Chynoweth Facility Operator
Colton has been with the Bowness Community Association since August of 2016 as a Facility and Arena attendant. Colton enjoys the atmosphere of working in recreation as everyone is there to have fun and enjoy the community of sport. He also loves to go camping and being outside when he is not driving an Olympia at either the Bowness Arena or at Winsport.
Nonie Grimm Hall Attendant
Nonie has lived in Bowness for 63 yrs, and working with the BCA since Feb 2017. She works in the hall part time or when my services are needed. She loves her job at the BCA working with all the staff and working with helping community members.
In her spare time she enjoys going to movies, going out to eat and loves travelling. She’s also learning how to play pickleball at the community centre and says it’s lots of fun and you should come out and give it a try.
